The elected mayor of South Tyneside Councillor Fay Cunningham and Mayoress Stella Matthewson were given a special tour of our production facility in South Shields this March.
Councillor Cunningham was given the opportunity to help staff at the factory produce links of their famous sausage as part of a tour organised to raise awareness of Dicksons’ position as one of the biggest employers in the Borough. Having been in business for more than 60 years and now employing more than 240 people across the North East, we were delighted to receive this kind of recognition and support from the mayor and mayoress.
Dicksons’ Marketing Director, Elena Dickson, said: “Today’s visit offered the opportunity to showcase our busy production facility to the Mayor and Mayoress of South Tyneside.
“Our retail and wholesale network relies on the dedicated team in our factory to produce the same high quality Dicksons products day in and day out. Today’s visit helps to highlight the hard working staff who ensure customers throughout the region can enjoy their favourite steak pie or saveloy dip at their local Dicksons.
“I’d like to take this opportunity to thank the Mayor and Mayoress for taking the time to visit our production facility and we look forward to welcoming them back in the future.”
