General

MI Dicksons aims to excel in the quality of our produce and the service we provide. By shopping with us online you can expect us to meet the highest standards.   All our goods and services comply with all the standards required by relevant legislation. All online transactions engage a Contract of Sale. By placing an order you accept these terms and conditions by law.

Delivery

Our delivery providers are Royal Mail and TNT. This allows us to reach locations across the UK as well as delivering to our stores for collection.   All products are dispatched using a recorded delivery service, ensuring that any order placed before 12pm is guaranteed to arrive before 1pm the very next day as long as we have the product(s) in stock.   It is important that someone is at home to take delivery of orders. Goods are chilled to keep them in optimum condition during transit and a chill-pack will be supplied with your order at the premises.   Drivers will not take packages back to their depot when carrying perishable goods.

Collection

You may collect your order in person from one of our shops, in which case it will be available the day after an order is placed as long as the order is placed before 12pm (except orders placed on a Saturday or Sunday). Goods not collected within 24 hours will be disposed of, and the order deemed complete. No refunds can be made for uncollected orders.

Packaging and delivery

We take great care to ensure your goods arrive in the best condition. Our packaging standards have been carefully designed to maintain a temperature within the chill-pack of less than 5 degrees Celsius for 48 hours – double the time it should spend in transit.

Packaging and delivery prices

When your order has been packed, its cost to deliver is calculated as follows:
  • £0 - £25: £15
  • £26 - £50: £10
  • £51 - £70: £5
  • £70+: Free

Delivery costs

We charge a simple flat rate for delivery anywhere in the UK mainland.

Acceptable weight variation

When you place your order it will be for a nominal weight of produce, at a specified price. Because orders are individually prepared, it can be expected that there may be some slight variation in weights above or below the weight you choose, and it is impractical for us to request additional payments or process small refunds.   We will ensure that this variation never exceeds more or less than 10% of any specified item.

Unfulfilled orders

Because of the nature of some of our produce and limited supply, it is possible that from time to time we may be unable to fulfill some orders. If your order cannot be fulfilled, we will let you know as quickly as possible, normally within one working day of you placing the order, and offer alternative produce or cancellation at your discretion. In the event of us having to cancel, we will make an immediate and full refund of any monies paid.

Guarantee of Satisfaction

If for any reason you are dissatisfied with the quality of the produce received, you should contact us within 24 hours of receipt. All complaints will be dealt with personally and immediately. Your statutory rights are not affected. We regret we are not able to accept returned goods or claims for goods ordered in error, due to their perishable nature.

Non-Delivery Claims

In the event of your order failing to arrive when expected, please contact us by email or by telephone within 24 hours of the expected delivery quoting your order number. We will immediately investigate and let you know the situation.   Cancellation We regret that due to the very short timescale involved in processing produce orders, you cannot cancel or amend your order once it has been placed.   Data Protection All data we collect from you will be used exclusively for the purposes of our dealings, to help us offer improved or new services to you, and may be stored on computer. Your details will be held securely, in confidence, and never disclosed to any third party without your express permission, save by order of a court.
